Jog Falls

Jog falls, is such a beautiful place in India and everyone has to visit and we can even say it as Indian Niagara Falls. I had been to this place sometime back in 2007. We had to go from Bangalore to Jog Falls. So we decided to go to Shimoga first and then to jog falls. We had booked in ticket in advance to Shimoga from Bangalore. There is one train which goes from Bangalore to Shimoga is Shimoga express. From Shimoga we need to go to jog falls. But then we decided to take accommodation is Sagara. Sagara is the nearest place to jog falls. There are so many decent accommodation and restaurants are available in Sagara.  From Sagara we had a temp traveler to reach to the destination jog falls. The great beauty is the route from Sagara to jog falls is extraordinary, unexplained and marvelous scenery. This may be the best I had seen in my life time. The routes are very excellent around Sagara. The real true nature’s wealth is maintained, no much of plastic covers lot of greeneries. It is hardly an hour journey from Sagara to jog falls. Once you reach there you could see the beauty of the falls lies in itself.

Sharavathi River splits up the falls in to four tracks and each track has names as Raja, Roarer, Rocket and Rani. But only thing people would go upset if they visit the falls in the off-season. The time you may go is from July to November and it is the season time. The effect of south west monsoon and north east monsoon are the main sources of water in these regions.

Shivanasamudra Falls

Folks, I recently got an opportunity to go to Shivanasamudra Falls with my office team, which is located on Kaveri River. This is located near to Mysore, Mandaya district. You can go from Bangalore either by bus or car or even by Bike. It is a beautiful Highway travel as the Road is very scenic and enjoyable. Total distance from Bangalore is around 150Kms. Shivanasamudram has two water falls they are Gaganachukki and Bharachukki. Bharachukki is the place where you can go near to the water falls and have lots of fun. There are people who will take you near to the falls. But the thing is you should be little careful as the water is heavy flow over here. Later we visited to Gaganachukki, there you may not able to go near to the falls but then you can cover good snaps there.

When we were on the way to Shivanasamudra Falls, we had our breakfast in Kamat Hotel on the Highway. The price was so reasonable and could able to have good food even.

Once you reach the falls you can have a pleasure boat ride, where they will take you very near to the falls. We were all wet after being enjoyed in the falls. But you have to little careful when you cross the river or trying to go near the falls. Because on season times the water flow would be more. 

Once finished our enjoyment we were about to climb a steep steps, it was too struggle to climb up. But no other go and we started so energitically and atlast reached the cab. Later we had to visit to Gaganachukki.
